Looking for something cheap and fun to do on Thursday evening? Search no further than Downtown Sandusky's First Thursday Art Walk. Events are schedule the first Thursday of each month now through November, each with it's own theme. The best part is probably the cost, which is absolutely free!
Thursday, August 2nd is "Plein Air Painting." Come and explore a variety of businesses displaying works from various artists. Restaurants and shops will be open from 5-8 p.m. for your enjoyment. A number of artists and musicians will be on hand for live demonstrations.
No worries if you can't make it this month. Mark your calendar for any of the upcoming First Thursdays:
Thursday, September 6: Culinary Arts
Thursday, October 4: Uptown Photo Contest
Thursday, November 1: The Written Word
As the themes suggest, each Art Walk features a completely different medium. There is room for visual artists, written artists, performers, dancers and everyone in between. Check out the Historic Downtown Sandusky website for artist registration and requirements. For more information, visit www.sanduskyartwalk.com.
